Why it matters
An empty alert list does not establish that a child is safe. Use the guidance here and seek appropriate human help when concerned.
What you can do

Stay calm and don't lead with blame — a child who feels in trouble stops talking.

Open a conversation with curiosity: ask who they've been talking to and how it's been feeling.

If there's any sign of grooming, threats, or requests for images, preserve what you can and report it — in the UK, CEOP (ceop.police.uk); call your local emergency number if a child is in immediate danger.

Tighten that child's contacts and boundaries in their settings while you sort it out.
