Heads-up

Time's up for today

Usually infotime_limit_reached

Your child reached a screen-time limit you set.

What happened

Your child reached the daily limit you chose, and Murphee wound the space down for the day. It's a planned stop, not a problem — the heads-up is just so you're not surprised when they come to ask.

Why it matters

Limits work best when they're a steady, predictable wall rather than a fight in the moment. Knowing the limit was reached lets you back it up calmly if your child asks for more.

What you can do

  1. 1

Decide in advance how you'll answer 'can I have more time' — a set answer is easier than negotiating each evening.

  2. 2

If the limit feels wrong for this child, adjust it in their settings rather than granting repeat exceptions.

  3. 3

Use the moment to move to something offline together — that's the win, not the screen.
